(APRIL 1, 2021) Monrovia, CA \u2014 Trader Joe\u2019s, a national chain of neighbourhood grocery stores, announced a collaboration with MagnusCards\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong> by Magnusmode, a free app dedicated to making the world a more accessible place. Trader Joe\u2019s is the first grocery store to partner with the app, and the launch comes just in time for World Autism Day, as well as the commencement of Autism Acceptance Month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Using digitalized \u201cCard Decks,\u201d the MagnusCards app guides users through tasks and activities that might otherwise feel challenging or overwhelming. As Magusmode\u2019s very first grocery partner, Trader Joe\u2019s is offering five TJ\u2019s-related Card Decks within the app. Using a proven method of instruction (applied behaviour analysis), visual cues, and step-by-step instructions (with optional audio enhancement), each Deck focuses on a different aspect of the Trader Joe\u2019s shopping experience. Examples include \u201cChecking Out Your Items\u201d and \u201cSensory Experiences in the Store.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
